OPPO Find X8 Ultra Cameras Officially Showcased Ahead of Launch in April: What to Expect

The OPPO Find X8 Ultra is set to debut in April, showcasing a range of advanced features. Zhou Yibao, head of the OPPO Find series, shared an image revealing five camera sensors on the upcoming smartphone. This marks a first for the series and highlights OPPO's commitment to enhancing photography capabilities.

Enhanced Camera Features

According to Zhou Yibao, "In order to take good portraits and good skin tones, we use a brand-new hardware." This new hardware is anticipated to be a multi-spectral sensor aimed at improving imaging and colour precision. The Find X8 Ultra is expected to include a 50MP 1/1.56″ Sony IMX906 3X periscope telephoto camera and a 50MP 1/2″ Sony LYT-600 6x periscope telephoto camera with macro capabilities.

Additionally, the device will likely retain the 50MP camera with a 1″ Sony LYT-900 sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide camera from its predecessor, the Find X7 Ultra. These enhancements are designed to provide users with superior photography experiences, particularly in portrait and wide-angle shots.

Display and Performance

The Find X8 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.82-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. This screen will have ultra-narrow bezels for an immersive viewing experience. Under the hood, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, offering up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB of storage capacity.

Battery life is also a focus for this model, with reports suggesting a battery capacity exceeding 6000mAh. Charging options include 100W SuperVOOC wired charging and 50W wireless fast charging, ensuring quick power-ups for users on the go.

Design and Durability

The design of the OPPO Find X8 Ultra includes an option with an approximate thickness of 8.xxmm for its leather variant. It boasts IP68 + IP69 ratings, providing robust protection against dust and water ingress. Additionally, it features a custom vibration motor (0916) for enhanced tactile feedback.

Alongside the Find X8 Ultra launch in April, OPPO may introduce other models such as the Find X8 mini or X8S. These additions could offer varied specifications catering to different user preferences while maintaining high standards in design and performance.
