OPPO Find X8 Ultra Launched with Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, Five Rear Cameras, 6100 mAh Battery, 2K OLED Display

The OPPO Find X8 Ultra has officially been unveiled in China. The Find X8 Ultra is OPPO's top-of-the-line flagship and the first OPPO phone to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

Apart from the flagship chip, the phone also boasts a Quad HD+ OLED display, four 50MP rear cameras, a massive battery with both wired and wireless fast charging, the latest software with AI integration, and comprehensive protection against dust and water.

The OPPO Find X8 Ultra price in China starts from CNY 6,499 (roughly Rs 76,200). The OPPO Find X8 Ultra is available in three configurations - 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB (Satellite Communication Edition).

The OPPO Find X8 Ultra comes in Moonlight White, Morning Light, and Hoshino Black shades. There is no word on the availability of the OPPO Find X8 Ultra, although it is unlikely to hit international markets.

OPPO Find X8 Ultra Specifications

Under the hood, the Find X8 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. It comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X-9600 RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The display remains unchanged with a 6.82-inch 10-bit LTPO OLED panel offering a refresh rate of 1-120Hz, a resolution of 3,168x1,440 pixels, and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits.

A significant upgrade is the new 6,100mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is nearly 20% larger than before. It supports fast charging with 100W SUPERVOOC wired and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging capabilities, along with a 10W reverse wireless option.

The phone operates on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. The Oppo Find X8 Ultra includes two new physical controls: a Shortcut button on the upper left side for custom functions or apps and a Quick button on the bottom right edge primarily for camera control.

The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is now slimmer at 8.78mm compared to the previous 9.5mm thickness. Despite this reduction, it maintains durability with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and an IP69 rating for water jets. Additionally, it has SGS five-star drop resistance certification.

OPPO Find X8 Ultra Cameras

For optics, the Find X8 Ultra features four 50MP cameras on the back fine-tuned by Hasselblad. The first of which is a 50MP 1-inch Sony LYT-900 primary sensor with OIS and an f/1.8 aperture. The second is a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultrawide lens with an f/2.0 aperture. You also get a 2MP spectral sensor, but that's not all.

Finally, there are two zoom cameras: A 50MP Sony LYT-700 sensor with a 70mm focal length, OIS, an f/2.1 lens, and 3x optical zoom and a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor with an f/3.1 lens, OIS, and 6x optical zoom. Up front, the OPPO Find X8 Ultra opts for an autofocusing, ultrawide 32MP selfie camera with a Sony LYT-506 sensor.

Oppo's camera system features two upgraded zoom cameras alongside the main shooter from last year. The True Chroma camera ensures accurate skin tones in varied lighting, while the HyperTone Image Engine and AI tone mapping enhance performance, depth, and detail. ProXDR technology boosts brightness and color richness. The "Holy Trinity" of lenses supports 4K slow-motion at 120fps with Dolby Vision for cinematic quality.
