OPPO Find X9 Series Advanced Camera Capabilities Detailed Ahead of Launch on October 16

OPPO is gearing up for the launch of its Find X9 series on October 16. Zhou Yibao, head of OPPO's Find series products, has shared insights into the imaging technology that will be featured in this new lineup. The company is promoting this series as a "mobile imaging quality revolution," with notable improvements in both hardware and software.

Core Imaging Technologies

The Find X9 series introduces five main pillars in its imaging system. Optical Technology includes AOA active optical alignment to enhance optical resolution. Color Technology features the fourth-generation Danxia Color Reproduction Lens for better color accuracy in photos and videos.

Photosensitive Technology uses a LYT-828 sensor with triple exposure capabilities for improved light capture. Algorithm Technology incorporates a new LUMO super pixel engine for high-quality image output. Lastly, Chip Technology debuts the OPPO Chip Chain, utilizing 3nm process technology.

Ultra-Clear Picture Quality Features

The new imaging technology offers three primary high-quality experiences: Hasselblad True 200MP mode provides a 16x resolution improvement with natural color science and ProXDR display technology.

Full-Focal-Range 8K Photos support "Hasselblad 8K Ultra HD Photos" across all zoom ranges, offering a 4x resolution boost. Additionally, the Find X9 will be the first to directly output "4K Ultra-HD Live Photos," integrating sharing and display with Xiaohongshu.

Expanded Hasselblad Collaboration and Advanced Video Capabilities

OPPO's partnership with Hasselblad has been enhanced in several areas. Joint Optical Development has led to a Hasselblad ultra-clear quad-camera system and a 200MP ultra-clear lens. New co-developed accessories include the OPPO Hasselblad Professional Imaging Kit and Professional Teleconverter. The software suite receives an upgrade with a new generation of XPAN mode and the introduction of Hasselblad Master mode.

The Find X9 series also brings significant video recording enhancements: 4K 120fps Dolby Vision HDR allows smooth, slow-motion footage while protecting portrait skin tones. For professional workflows, it offers ACES-certified 10-bit Log recording with Rec.709 color monitoring. Furthermore, Hasselblad Master Tones integrate distinct color styles into the Log recording pipeline, providing more creative control for videographers.

OPPO Find X9 Series Specifications (Expected)

The device will run on Android 16 with ColorOS 16 and support dual SIM (nano + nano). Camera specifications include a 50MP camera with Sony LYT808 sensor and OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with JN5 sensor, and a periscope telephoto camera with ƒ/2.6 aperture and OIS. The rumored specifications for the OPPO Find X9 include a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2760 × 1256 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
