OPPO Find X9 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 Ultra Launch in India Imminent: Vivo X300 Ultra Could Follow Suit
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is set to face much stiffer competition in India this year. Unlike last year, when Xiaomi was the only brand besides Samsung to launch an 'Ultra' smartphone in the market, 2026 is shaping up to be far more competitive, with both vivo and OPPO expected to aggressively expand their Ultra-tier offerings in India.
The OPPO Find X9 Ultra will launch in India following its unveiling in China. The OPPO Find X9 Ultra will set a new benchmark for smartphone camera performance as it will reportedly use two 200MP sensors as part of a quad rear camera setup.

OPPO Find X9 Ultra Cameras (Expected)
The main camera is said to rely on Sony's new LYTIA 901 sensor, sized at 1/1.12 inches, fitted behind a 23mm lens. The same leak states that another 200-megapixel unit, the OmniVision OV52A, will handle medium-range zoom duties on the Oppo Find X9 Ultra. This periscope telephoto sensor reportedly measures 1/1.28 inches and sits behind a 70mm lens that offers 3x optical zoom, making it larger than many rival telephoto modules.
Tipster Digital Chat Station posted on Weibo that the Oppo Find X9 Ultra telephoto unit based on the 200-megapixel 1/1.28-inch sensor will carry an f/2.2 aperture. The tipster suggests this configuration should admit more light than usual zoom cameras, helping to produce cleaner images with improved low-light detail at 3x magnification.
For broader scenes, leaks indicate the Oppo Find X9 Ultra may utilise a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL JN5 ultra-wide camera with a 1/2.76-inch sensor and 15mm focal length. The same JN5 is also tipped to support a secondary periscope module that could offer 10x optical zoom at a 230mm focal length for long-distance photography.

Vivo X300 Ultra Cameras (Expected)
The OPPO Find X9 Ultra launch in India will have a cascading effect, prompting Vivo to unveil the X300 Ultra in the country as well. Digital Chat Station reiterates that the Vivo X300 Ultra is planned to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform. The same chipset is also expected inside the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the OnePlus 15, suggesting direct performance competition between these Android flagships during 2026.
The Vivo X300 Ultra is again said to feature a 35 mm primary camera, an 85 mm telephoto unit and a 1/1.28 inch ultra-wide sensor. Digital Chat Station claims these elements stay in place while Vivo adds a mysterious component, described only as a "newly added XXX" in the latest leak.
The detailed Vivo X300 Ultra camera hardware that remains planned, according to Digital Chat Station, is shown below for clarity and comparison with rivals:
| Camera | Resolution | Sensor Size | Focal Length |
| Primary (Sony Lytia 901) | 200MP | 1/1.12-inch | 35 mm Equivalent |
| Ultra-wide | 50MP | 1/1.28-inch | Not Specified |
