Oppo Find X9s Leak Hints at Massive 7,000mAh Battery, to Launch Alongside the Find X9 Ultra

Oppo’s new Find X9 and X9 Pro are barely out, and we’re already hearing chatter about the next one in line — the Find X9s. A fresh leak from China has surfaced, giving us an early idea of what Oppo’s next compact flagship could look like and what might change under the hood.

A Compact Flagship With a Bigger Battery

The Find X9s is reportedly continuing Oppo’s trend of offering smaller, premium phones for those who don’t want oversized displays. The previous Find X8s featured a 6.32-inch screen, and sources say the X9s could be roughly the same size — compact by today’s standards.

But what’s turning heads is the rumored jump in battery capacity. The Find X9s is said to pack a massive 7,000mAh battery, a huge step up from the 5,700mAh unit in the Find X8s. If true, this would make it one of the few compact phones with such a large battery, potentially addressing one of the most common complaints about smaller flagships — short battery life.

Dimensity 9500+ Could Power the Next Compact Flagship

Last year’s Find X8s ran on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ processor, so it’s reasonable to assume that Oppo’s next model could feature the upcoming Dimensity 9500+ if MediaTek releases it in time. The Find X9s is also expected to launch alongside the Find X9 Ultra and possibly an X9s+ variant, just as Oppo did with the previous generation.

If Oppo sticks to its usual schedule, the Find X9s could debut around April 2026, matching the release window of its predecessor.

Design Closely Mirrors the Find X9

In terms of looks, don’t expect anything drastically new. Leaks suggest the Find X9s will borrow heavily from the Find X9’s design language, including its refined camera island and curved edges. Oppo’s design consistency across the X9 lineup might help it maintain a distinct visual identity, even as the brand focuses more on internals this time.
