Oppo K12 Plus Set to Launch on October 12 With Massive 6,400mAh Battery and Dual Rear Cameras Confirmed

Oppo is gearing up to launch its flagship Find X8 series later this month in China. Now, the brand has confirmed it will also bring another mid-range device named the K12 Plus on October 12.

The upcoming smartphone will join the existing K12, which made its debut back in April this year. The Oppo K12 Plus is likely to have an identical design and specifications as the standard variant; however, the Plus model will pack a massive battery. Oppo K12 Plus Launch Date

As noted, the Oppo K12 Plus will be launching on October 12 in China at 2:30pm local time. The official poster reveals the design of the smartphone, featuring a pill-shaped rear camera island where two camera sensors are placed accompanied by an LED unit.

Oppo K12 Plus: What to Expect?

The Oppo K12 Plus is confirmed to come in Basalt Black and Snow Peak White colour options. In terms of features, the handset is expected to come with a 6.7-inch full HD+ AMOLED screen and a 120Hz refresh rate. It could feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, the same processor that runs the standard Oppo K12.

The Plus variant is also tipped to come with a 50MP main camera and a 16MP selfie camera. Moreover, the Oppo K12 Plus is confirmed to pack a 6,400mAh battery, up from the 5,500 mAh battery on the K12.

However, the Plus variant could ship with 80W wired fast charging, as opposed to 100W wired fast charging support on the standard variant. Besides, the K12 Plus is said to run Android 14-based ColorOS 14 on the software front.

As of now, there is no word regarding the pricing of the upcoming model. We expect it could be more affordable compared to the Oppo K12, which was launched starting at 1,799 yuan (roughly Rs 20,700) for the base 8GB/128GB model.
