Oppo K13x 5G Specs Surface Ahead of Launch; Likely a Rebranded A5 5G for India

Oppo seems to be quietly prepping the launch of its next budget 5G device in India-the K13x 5G. But if the early clues are accurate, this may not be a completely new phone.

In fact, the Oppo K13x appears to be a rebranded version of the already released Oppo A5 5G globally.

What the Google Play listings reveal

The Oppo K13x 5G recently showed up in the Google Play Console and Google Play Supported Devices database with the model number CPH2753. Meanwhile, the Oppo A5 5G, which launched globally earlier, goes by the model number CPH2735.

Despite these minor differences, both phones share the same internal codename: OP5EF7L1. That's typically a strong sign that the hardware is identical and that this is simply a regional rebranding exercise.

Oppo has followed this strategy in the past-offering near-identical phones under different names across regions-so the pattern fits.

Expected hardware and specs

Based on the information from the Play Console, the Oppo K13x 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset (MT6835) and is expected to ship with 4GB of RAM. The device will run Android 15 right out of the box and sport a display with HD+ resolution. No word yet on whether there will be higher RAM or storage variants.

If Oppo sticks closely to the Oppo A5 5G blueprint, the K13x should also include a 50MP main rear camera and a 2MP secondary sensor. An 8MP front camera will likely handle selfies and video calls. One of the more appealing features for budget-conscious users is the rumored 6,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support-a solid capacity for this segment.

A more affordable sibling to the Oppo K13 5G?

The Oppo K13 5G was launched last month with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip, 120Hz OLED panel, and a massive 7000mAh fast charging-all of which suggest a higher tier.

In contrast, the K13x is shaping up to be a more budget-friendly alternative, possibly priced around ₹13,000. That would put it closer to the earlier Oppo K12x, which debuted at a similar price point in July 2024.
