Oppo R15 to launch on March 31 with 6.28-inch display, 6GB RAM
The Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition will also be launched alongside the Oppo R15.
Oppo R15 has been making rounds on internet for quite a while now. After several leaks and official teasers, Oppo has announced that the launch date for the smartphone. According to the poster released on Weibo, the R15 will be launched alongside R15 Dream Mirror Edition on March 31 in China.
In a separate poster, it has been revealed that Zhang Yishan, the Chinese actor will be the brand ambassador for the flagship duo. Thanks to the leaks, we already know the specifications of the Oppo R15 and R15 Dream Mirror Edition. Both models will come with similar specifications, but there will be some differences in some aspects.
The smartphones will sport a 6.28-inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2,280×1,080 pixels and aspect ratio of 19:9. There will be 6GB RAM and 128GB default storage onboard. The Oppo R15 and R15 Dream Mirror Edition will have almost the same thickness and weight and run Android 8.1 Oreo topped with the company's ColorOS 5.0. The smartphones will also flaunt a 20MP front camera.
Talking about the differences, the R15 will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 processor, whereas the R15 Dream Mirror Edition will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. Both the smartphones will arrive with dual rear cameras, but the sensors will have different resolutions.
The R15's dual rear camera setup will include a 16MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. The R15 Dream Mirror Edition, on the other hand, will feature a 16MP + 20MP camera setup on its back.
The differences between the R15 and R15 Plus do not end with the rear camera and processor. It also extends to the battery capacities, color variants and design. The R15 will feature a 3450mAh battery with fast charging support. The device will also feature a 2.5D glass back design and arrive in Snow White, Thermal Red, and Starry Violet colors options.
When it comes to the Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition, the smartphone is said to feature a smaller 3,400mAh battery with fast charging and a 3D glass back design for the Red color variant and a Ceramic back design for the Black color variant.
