A few days back, Oppo announced the launch of a new sub-brand of smartphones called Realme along with Amazon. This sub-brand will focus only on the online market in India. It is meant to compete with the Xiaomi Redmi series of smartphones those are popular. The very first smartphone to be announced under this sub-brand is Realme 1 and it will happen on May 15.
Ahead of the announcement, those at 91mobiles have managed to get their hands on the live image of the smartphone. The live image as seen above shows the rear of the device with diamond cut patterns. The Realme 1 is almost identical to the Oppo A3 in terms of looks except for the Oppo branding in the middle.

Amazon India has a dedicated teaser page for the upcoming Oppo smartphone. This page shows that the device will arrive in a unique Black Diamond hue. It is seen to have a single rear camera with LED flash, a power button at the right edge and volume controls on the left edge.
The Realme 1 smartphone is said to be priced around Rs. 15,000. The device is aimed to take over devices such as Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Moto G5S Plus, Nokia 6 (2018) and more in the price bracket. At this pricing, it can be a great offering for the users.
Oppo Realme 1 leaked specifications
The report states that the smartphone will get the power from an octa-core MediaTek Helio processor paired with 6GB RAM. This is the same processor used by the Oppo F7. The chip is based on the 12nm manufacturing process. We can expect a 4GB RAM variant to be launched with 32GB storage space and the 6GB RAM variant to have 64GB storage space. It is also likely to support expandable storage and run Android 8.1 Oreo topped with ColorOS 5.0.
The leaked AnTuTu benchmark screenshot shows that the device has scored 139432 points. On the other hand, it has managed to score 1524 and 5871 points in the single-core and multi-core tests on Geekbench 4.
The Realme 1 is expected to feature a single 16MP sensor at its rear with 1080p video recording support and LED flash. At the front, it is likely to flaunt an 8MP AI selfie camera. The other aspects are said to include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, 4 G VoLTE and GPS. The device is believed to use a 3400mAh battery with AI battery management as in the Oppo F7.
