Oppo Reno 12 Global Launch Likely Soon; Expected Features and India Launch Details

Last month, Oppo unveiled the Reno 12 series in China. Now, it seems the brand will soon bring the new series of smartphones to the global markets including India. They already started visiting multiple certification sites.

Now, the global variant of the Reno 12 was spotted on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification website, which also shared live images of the phone. Check all the details here.

Oppo Reno 12 5G Spotted on FCC Certification

The live images on the FCC listing (spotted by MySmartPrice) suggest that the Reno 12 global variant will look identical to the Chinese variant. However, it will have some differences in terms of features.

The global variant is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor as opposed to the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 Star Speed Edition processor featured on the Chinese model, as per the Geekbench benchmark database.

Coming to the FCC listing, which reveals the Opoo Reno 12 global variant will feature a triple rear camera setup along with AI camera capabilities. Moreover, the phone is said to come with a 4,880 mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC charging.

Further, the FCC listing suggests the Reno 12 5G will run ColorOS 14.1 based on Android 14. Lastly, it will support dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and 5G for connectivity. Other features like camera resolution, storage configurations, and display are still under wraps.

To recall, the Chinese variant of the Oppo Reno 12 5G has a 6.7-inch curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It also comes with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. For imaging, the Oppo Reno 12 features a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP telephoto sensor. Now, it remains to be seen if the global variant of the phone shares the same set of camera sensors as its Chinese counterpart.

Moreover, the Reno 12 5G also received BIS certification, hinting at an imminent India launch. The exact timeline for both the global and India launch is yet to be announced. If anything comes to our notice on this, we will keep update you.
