OPPO Reno 12 & 12 Pro Launching in India on July 12: 120Hz Displays, Dimensity 7300-Energy SoC, 80W Charging

OPPO has officially unveiled the launch date for its highly anticipated Reno12 series in India. Scheduled to arrive on July 12th, 2024, the Reno12 and Reno12 Pro 5G promise to be feature-packed companions powered by AI for everyday use.

Display and Design

Both models boast a large, immersive 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with a curved design for a near bezel-less experience. The Pro variant features the more robust Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for added scratch resistance, while the base model utilizes Gorilla Glass 7i.

"All-Round Armour" Protection

Durability is a key focus for the Reno12 series. Inspired by the structure of a sponge, the phones incorporate an "All-Round Armour" protection system to enhance drop and impact resistance. Additionally, a high-strength alloy frame ensures sturdiness, and both devices carry IP65 ratings for dust and water resistance.

Performance and Battery

The Reno12 series is equipped with the efficient 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy SoC, promising smooth performance and extended battery life. Both models pack a large 5000mAh battery with support for OPPO's 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, capable of reaching 100% in just 46 minutes. OPPO claims that the battery offers four years of durability for long-term use.

AI-Enhanced Camera System

The Reno12 Pro boasts a powerful quad-camera setup featuring a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera for zooming, and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor for capturing expansive scenes. The front-facing camera utilizes a 50MP sensor for high-resolution selfies.

The Reno12 takes a slightly different approach, opting for a 32MP front camera and replacing the telephoto lens with a 2MP macro camera for close-up shots.

Both models leverage AI algorithms to enhance photos, remove imperfections, and ensure natural-looking results in various lighting conditions.

Connectivity and User Experience

OPPO's AI LinkBoost technology promises to reduce network lag by up to 25% for smoother online experiences. The phones also offer features like VoWiFi calling and intelligent network selection for reliable connectivity. Color Options

The Reno12 Pro comes in Sunset Gold and Space Brown, featuring a unique Dual-Texture Back with a smudge-resistant OPPO Glow finish on the top and a glossy lower section with the OPPO branding. The Reno12 offers a wider variety of colors: Sunset Peach, Matte Brown, and Astro Silver. The latter utilizes OPPO's Fluid Ripple Texture for a captivating liquid-like effect, while Sunset Peach offers a fresh take on the 2024 color of the year.

Pricing and Availability

While pricing details haven't been revealed yet, the OPPO Reno12 series is expected to go on sale on Flipkart, OPPO's online store, and offline retailers after the July 12th launch.
