Oppo Reno 12 Series Global Launch Date Set for June 18: Check Full Specifications

Oppo is gearing up to unveil new smartphones in its Reno 12 series globally. To recall, the Oppo Reno 12 series was released in China last month, including the Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro.

The Oppo Reno 12 series features MediaTek chipsets, vibrant OLED displays, triple-camera setups, high-res selfie cameras, and sizeable batteries with fast charging support.

The Oppo Reno 12 series launch date in China is set for June 18 in Ibiza, Spain. The official teaser poster for the Reno 12 series also suggests that the Reno 12 series is going to receive some AI features.

The official website confirms reveals that the Reno 12 series will offer AI Portrait and AI LinkBoost, although you can expect other generative AI features to follow. As of now, there is no information about the Oppo Reno 12 series launch date in India.

Oppo Reno 12 Series Specifications

The Oppo Reno 12 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 (Star Edition) chipset paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Oppo Reno 12 Pro opts for the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ (Star Edition) chip with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The Oppo Reo 12 series sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The panel supports HDR10+, boasts hardware-level blue light reduction, and 2160Hz high frequency PWM dimming.

The Oppo Reno 12 series packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. Connectivity options include 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and more. Up front, the Reno 12 series opts for a 50 MP selfie camera with Autofocus and an f/2.0 aperture.

For optics, both the Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro feature a 50 MP primary sensor with OIS and an f/1.8 aperture. Both phones also opt for 8 MP ultrawide shooters and 50 MP telephoto units with an f/2.0 aperture. Both phones also support 4K video recording at up to 60fps. The Oppo Reno 12 series also boasts in-display fingerprint readers.
