OPPO Reno 13 Series Nears Launch in China; 13 Pro Could Feature Dimensity 8350 SoC & eSIM Support
Oppo's Reno 13 series is shaping up for a debut, with reliable reports pointing to a tentative November 25 release in China. According to details from Digital Chat Station, this new lineup is expected to include two models: the Oppo Reno 13 and Reno 13 Pro.
The phones are also gaining traction globally, with certifications hinting at an imminent international launch.

Oppo Reno 13 Series Gains IMDA Certification
The latest Oppo Reno 13 series has secured an IMDA certification in Singapore, marking a key step in its path to the global market. The certification reveals model numbers CPH2689 for the standard Reno 13 and CPH2697 for the Reno 13 Pro. Prior to this, the devices also appeared in certification databases in Europe (EEC) and Indonesia (TKDN). However, the IMDA listing in Singapore is the first to confirm the phones' official names.
While the certification primarily focuses on connectivity specifications, it has also highlighted an interesting feature for the Reno 13 Pro: support for eSIM technology, a capability that's gradually gaining attention among high-end smartphone users.
Camera Details Emerge for the Oppo Reno 13
Camera specifications are also beginning to surface. A listing on Camera FV-5 shows the Reno 13 with a 50-megapixel rear camera, paired with a 26.6mm focal length and an f/1.8 aperture, suggesting decent performance in low light. The front camera is equally robust, sporting a 50-megapixel sensor with a 22.2mm focal length and an f/2.0 aperture.
Global Variants Expected to Mirror Chinese Design, But Specs May Differ
For international customers, the Oppo Reno 13 series is expected to retain the core design of its Chinese counterpart. However, past trends suggest there could be subtle differences in specifications. Notably, the Chinese variant of the Reno 13 Pro may feature the Dimensity 8350 chipset, a next-generation processor yet to make its global debut. It remains unclear if Oppo will release this variant globally or opt for a different chipset for international markets.
Expected Release Timeline for International Markets
The Oppo Reno 13 series may follow a similar release trajectory as its predecessors. The Reno 12 series, for example, appeared on IMDA in May and was officially launched on June 29, 2024, in Singapore. The previous Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro models also launched after an IMDA listing, hitting the market in January 2024. Based on this pattern, the Reno 13 series could likely see a January 2025 launch in Singapore and other regions.
