OPPO Reno 14 Global Launch Teased: Check Launch Timeline, Specs, and More
After launching in China, OPPO’s Reno 14 Series 5G is now making its way to international markets, starting with Malaysia. The company has quietly confirmed the rollout through social media, hinting at more regions to follow.
Alongside the phones, OPPO also appears to be gearing up for a wider launch of its companion products, including a smartwatch, earbuds, and tablet.

Malaysia First, Global Markets Next
The global debut was teased through OPPO Malaysia’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, with a simple “Coming Soon.” The company also revealed three color options—White, Blue, and Green—for the global variants. These designs include what OPPO calls a “Gradient Aura” and “Iridescent Mermaid” finish, though the actual materials and color transitions will likely be better judged in person than in promo shots.
No official release date has been shared yet, but if past trends are anything to go by, other regions in Asia and Europe could follow soon after Malaysia.
Focus on AI Photography and Familiar Design
The Reno 14 Series is being positioned as a camera-first phone, with features like AI Flash Photography and AI Editor 2.0 bundled into the software. These tools are meant to enhance mobile shooting without needing much manual adjustment, something many smartphone users have come to expect.
Design-wise, the phones stick to a slim and lightweight profile. The standard Chinese model features a 6.59-inch flat LTPS OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It weighs 187g, is just 7.32mm thick, and has an IP66/68/69 rating, which suggests decent protection against dust and water.
Under the Hood: MediaTek Chips and Big Batteries
The Chinese variant of the Reno 14 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8350, while the Pro version uses the newer Dimensity 8450. A recent Geekbench listing suggests that this chip will also power the global Pro model, along with 12GB of RAM and Android 15.
In terms of storage, options go up to 1TB using UFS 3.1, which is more than enough for most people. The battery sizes are on the larger side, too—6000mAh for the standard Reno 14 and 6200mAh for the Pro. Both support 80W wired charging, and the Pro adds 50W wireless charging as well.
OPPO also mentions a new heat sink made of nano ice crystal material, said to be three times more efficient than traditional graphite layers. We’ll have to see how that holds up in real-world use.
Camera Setup
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP Sony sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP JN5 periscope lens with 3.5x optical zoom. The front camera is also 50MP, which continues the trend of pushing higher resolution selfie shooters.
Some of the newer camera features, like 4K HDR-to-Live conversion and a CCD-style filter, seem aimed at creators and vloggers. Whether they’re practical additions or just software tricks will depend on how well they’ve been implemented.
