OPPO Reno 15 and 15C Launched in India: Looks Like an iPhone, Costs Half the Price

OPPO has officially refreshed its mid-range portfolio in India with the Reno 15 and Reno 15C, launching alongside the premium Pro and Pro Mini models. While the Pro series keeps performance in focus, the standard Reno 15 and 15C go heavily on design and battery life. The 15C also packs the largest battery in the lineup. Here's the full breakdown of the pricing and specifications.

OPPO Reno 15 and Reno 15C: Specifications

The camera module on both the Reno 15 and Reno 15C resembles the layout seen on earlier iPhone Pro models. However, OPPO has added its own touch with the Dynamic Stellar Ring Design-a square-ring camera module that creates a halo effect under direct light.

While both models share several common features, including 80W fast charging, an AMOLED display, and Android 16 with ColorOS 16, they differ in key areas such as the processor, battery capacity, and camera setup.

The standard Reno 15 has a 50MP main camera, an 8MP 116° ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera, while the 15C offers a 50MP primary camera. However, both phones have a 50MP selfie camera.

Under the hood, the OPPO Reno 15 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, while the Reno 15C comes with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. It's also worth noting that the SD 6 Gen 1 is an older chipset that runs entry-level smartphones such as the Vivo T3x and iQOO Z9x. Considering the price of the Reno 15C, the choice of chipset does not justify its pricing.

Moreover, the Reno 15 is confirmed to get 5 OS updates; however, there is no info regarding software updates of the 15C model. With many budget and mid-range smartphones now offering at least three major Android OS updates, it remains to be seen how OPPO positions its update policy for its most affordable offering in the lineup.

On the front, the Reno 15 features a 6.59-inch (2760×1256 pixels) 1.5K display with 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1200 nits peak brightness, while the Reno 15C gets a 6.57-inch panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The latter also packs a massive 7,000mAh battery, while the Reno 15 is powered by a 6500mAh battery.

OPPO Reno 15 and Reno 15C: Price and Availability

The Reno 15 is offered in Twilight Blue, Glacier White, and Aurora Blue colours, while the 15C comes in Afterglow Pink and Twilight Blue shades. OPPO has positioned these devices in the premium-mid segment:

Reno 15 5G: Starts at ₹45,999 (8GB/256GB). Sale begins Jan 13.
Reno 15C: Starts at ₹34,999 (8GB/256GB). Sale begins in February.
