OPPO Reno 17 Series Launch Tipped for November: 200MP Camera and Teleconverter Support Expected
OPPO is reportedly preparing to expand its Reno smartphone lineup with the Reno 17 series, which could debut in China next month. The upcoming smartphones are expected to focus on design, camera capabilities and AI features, following the brand's established approach to the Reno series.
Leaks suggest the lineup could include two models with different display sizes, a 200-megapixel camera and support for a teleconverter accessory. However, another report claims OPPO may launch only the standard Reno 17, with specifications largely unchanged from its predecessor. The company has yet to confirm the launch timeline or hardware details.

OPPO Reno 17 Series Launch Timeline and Expected Models
According to tipster Smart Pikachu, the OPPO Reno 17 series could launch in China in November. The lineup is reportedly being developed with large- and small-screen variants, although the final model names remain unclear.
The tipster also hints at a design-focused approach, alongside new camera capabilities and software features. The series could introduce enhanced editing tools for live photos and retain a dedicated AI button, which is already available on the Reno 16 lineup.
One of the more notable rumoured additions is teleconverter support. If implemented, this feature could bring enhanced long-range photography capabilities to the Reno series, a feature OPPO has so far associated primarily with its flagship Find smartphones.
OPPO Reno 17 Design Leaked
A purported live image of the OPPO Reno 17, shared by Smartprix, suggests that the smartphone could retain a design similar to the Reno 16. The image reportedly shows minor changes to the rear camera module, with no major alterations to the overall appearance.
This leak appears to differ from earlier reports suggesting a more design-focused upgrade. The final design and available colour options remain unconfirmed.
OPPO Reno 17 Specifications and Features (Expected)
According to another report, OPPO could launch only the standard Reno 17, without a Pro model. The smartphone is tipped to retain the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and a triple rear camera system featuring three 50-megapixel sensors, similar to the Reno 16.
The battery could receive a significant upgrade, with capacity reportedly exceeding 7,000mAh. The phone is also expected to run Android 17-based ColorOS 17 out of the box.
While a separate leak points to a 200-megapixel camera and teleconverter support, these details remain unconfirmed and may not apply to every model in the lineup.
OPPO has yet to officially announce the Reno 17 series. More details about its specifications, pricing and availability should emerge closer to the expected China launch.
