Oppo Reno 3 TENNA Listing Suggests Elimination Of Shark-Fin Pop-Up Camera
Oppo is expected to launch the Reno 3 series sometime in December this year. It has only been a few months since the company introduced the Reno 2 series and the leaks surrounding its successor soon after. Now, a device has been spotted on TENNA which is said to be the Reno 3. And the listing reveals some design elements and the hardware.
Oppo Reno 3 TENNA Highlights
The Oppo Reno 3 TENNA images suggest the PCPM00 model number and a different design compared to its predecessor. While the previous generation Reno smartphones' shark-fin pop-up camera has been the key design element, the Reno 3 is likely to come with a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera.
It is unclear why Oppo would skip on the motorized selfie-camera setup for the waterdrop notch. The listing suggests a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels FHD+ resolution.
At the rear, the Reno 3 is seen sporting vertically aligned quad-cameras with a slight bump. The rear panel appears glossy, something which we have seen on the Reno 2 as well.
Notably, the alignment of the rear cameras is also different compared to the previous-gen Reno smartphones. Earlier, the setup was placed at the center instead of the top-left corner.
The processor name is not revealed, however, the device is said to be powered by a 2.1 GHz octa-core processor. The device is listed with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and Android Pie OS.
It is worth noting that Oppo has already confirmed a Snapdragon 765 processor for the Reno 3 Pro. And the standard variant has been leaked with a Snapdragon 735 chipset. Also, the TENNA listing suggests 160.2 x 73.3 x 7.9 mm dimensions of the Reno 3.
The battery is said to be of 3,935 mAh, but there is no mention of the fast charging. We expect Oppo to reveal the official launch details of the Reno 3 series soon.
Besides, TENNA listing indicates a completely different approach which Oppo is likely to opt for the Reno 3 series. It would be interesting to see if the company launches a different version of Reno in the coming days.
