OPPO Launches Reno14 5G Diwali Edition in India With Unique Heat-Sensitive Design, Priced From ₹36,999
OPPO has unveiled a special Reno14 5G Diwali Edition in India, timed around the festive season. The phone stands out for introducing heat-sensitive color-changing technology, marking a first for the Indian market.

Design Inspired by Cultural Motifs
The Diwali Edition carries a design that borrows heavily from Indian traditions. The back panel blends together a mandala pattern, a peacock design, and flame-like accents that resemble rows of diyas. The device uses a black and gold palette — with black symbolizing the new moon and obstacles, while gold represents the glow of lit lamps during the festival.
GlowShift: Color That Changes With Heat
The Reno14 Diwali Edition’s back panel changes color when exposed to warmth. OPPO calls this GlowShift, a material technology that shifts the phone’s rear from black to gold depending on temperature. The effect is reversible and designed to last across repeated cycles.
Hardware and Build
The phone keeps the slim and lightweight frame of the Reno14 series, measuring 7.42mm thick and weighing 187 grams. It uses aluminum framing, Gorilla Glass protection, and multiple IP ratings (IP66, IP68, and IP69) for durability against dust, water splashes, and high-pressure sprays. On the front is a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,200 nits.
Camera Setup
For imaging, the Reno14 Diwali Edition features a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP selfie camera. Video recording goes up to 4K HDR at 60fps, supported on both the rear and front cameras. Software tools include AI-based editing features like recomposition and background erasing.
Performance and Battery
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It carries a 6,000mAh battery, designed to last up to two days of regular use, and supports 80W fast charging. On the software side, it runs ColorOS 15, which adds system-level optimizations and AI-powered features such as translation, transcription, and search tools.
Price and Availability
The Reno14 5G Diwali Edition is priced at ₹39,999 in India, with introductory festive offers bringing the cost down to ₹36,999. It will be available through major online platforms and offline retail stores. Buyers will also see options for financing, trade-in bonuses, and bundled services like cloud storage and OTT subscriptions.
