Oppo has been quite silent in terms of new smartphone launches for the past couple of months and has been releasing only limited edition of its flagship phone the Oppo R11. However, it seems that the company has been working behind the scenes on a new smartphone that will probably be a unique device from the company.
Reports coming out of China state that Oppo is working on a new flagship Android phone which will probably be launched in the month of November this year. Interestingly, while we have already seen many smartphone brands getting into the bezel-less display trend, Oppo is also reportedly jumping onto the bandwagon and the reports suggest that the company will most likely unveil a full-screen design phone.
The news is yet to be confirmed by Oppo but at the same time, we are speculating the case. Apart from the bezel-lezz display news, this smartphone has also been spotted on Geekbench. As per the benchmark listing, the new handset comes with a codename "Mix" but as we are speculations are going on we are yet to confirm if the phone will officially be called the Oppo Mix or something else.
However, one thing that is for sure is that Oppo Mix will significantly not be part of the Oppo Find range, but instead will be the first device in Oppo's new line of flagship devices.
As for the details leaked through the benchmark website, Oppo Mix is powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset, features 6GB RAM and runs Android 7.1.1. Further, industry insiders have said that Oppo will use an AMOLED display sourced from Samsung for the handset. Other expected features of Oppo Mix will be an updated version of Oppo's fast VOOC battery charging technology and a stunning 5X lossless optical zoom on the rear cameras.
We should be hearing more about the device in the coming days and as we get more information we will update you on the same.
