OxygenOS 16 Set to Launch on October 16 – OnePlus AI, Full-Screen AOD, and More Incoming

OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch of OxygenOS 16, its next major software update based on Android 16, scheduled for October 16, 2025.

The teaser image highlights the tagline "Intelligently Yours" and the new "OnePlus AI" branding, confirming that artificial intelligence will play a major role in the update.

OxygenOS 16 - What to Expect?

OnePlus has confirmed that Google's Gemini will be integrated into its upcoming OxygenOS 16. Additionally, a notable feature rumored for OxygenOS 16 is a full-screen always-on display.

Unlike the traditional limited AOD, this version is expected to span the entire screen, providing more at-a-glance information without unlocking the phone. A new "Liquid Glass" style UI has also been spotted in earlier leaks.

Lockscreen widgets in OxygenOS 16 could allow users to check the weather, control music, or view reminders without unlocking their phones. The update is also expected to bring faster app launches and smoother animations, making everyday interactions more responsive.
