    As expected, Panasonic has launched the Eluga Icon smartphone exclusively on Amazon India for a price of Rs 10,999. In line with our exclusive report, the Panasonic Eluga Icon features an octa-core chipset, 2GB RAM, an 8MP front-facing camera and a 3500mAh battery. The phone can now be pre-booked on Amazon, and will be available from August 13.

    As for its specifications, the Panasonic Eluga Icon smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch IPS display of HD quality offering 1280x720 pixels resolution. Under the hood, there is a 1.5 GHz True octa-core processor to power the device and smoothly run multiple apps simultaneously. The chipset is paired with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded on microSD card.

    The Eluga Icon is a camera-centric smartphone, and adorns an 8-megapixel front-facing camera to attract the selfie's enthusiasts, and a 13MP rear snapper with auto focus and LED flash.

    It weighs 147gm with a 3500mAh battery, and measures in at 7.9mm in thickness. Connectivity options in the phone include support for 4G LTE network, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS/AGPS.

    The phone runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat-based on company's UI that brings additional features and gesture controls such as iSense hand hover gesture based functionality, and Smart Awake that wakes-up screen on double tap, Air Swipe Unlock, Blink Play feature for taking selfies or groupies with a blink of an eye, and more.
