Panasonic has just launched a new smartphone in its P-series in India. Dubbed as Panasonic P100, this latest launch from the brand is an entry-level device with decent features and specs. Interestingly, the company has also announced its "Gold Utsav consumer offer" with the launch of Panasonic P100, where select customers stand a chance to win up to 10 grams of gold through a lucky draw.
Commenting on the launch, Pankaj Rana, Business Head - Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said, "P100 is a smart device power packed with unique value-added services and features. It is targeted towards millennials who look for a smartphone which is a one-stop solution for their daily needs."

In any case, here is what the smartphone has to offer.
Display, Processor, RAM, and Storage
Panasonic P100 comes with a 5-inch display that offers a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels and a 2.5D Corning Gorilla glass on the top. The smartphone is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor which is paired with Mali-T720 GPU.
The handset has been launched in two RAM configurations which include 1GB and 2GB RAM variants but both the models with feature 16GB of storage onboard. The handset has a dedicated microSD card slot with supports up to 128GB memory cards.
Talking about the cameras, the device sports an 8-megapixel sensor on the rear panel and a 5-megapixel snapper on the front, both with dedicated LED flash. Panasonic claims that the 1.4μm pixel size of the rear camera sensor allows it to capture sharper images with good details. The camera app comes with multi-mode feature, which according to the company will let users enhance the pictures taken using the phone.
Panasonic P100 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and is backed by a 2200mAh battery. The dual-SIM phone offers connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, WiFi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. There is a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel of the handset. The smartphone measures 145mm x 73mm x 9.9mm and weighs in at 174.8 grams
Price and Availability
Panasonic P100 is offering the smartphone in four color options like Blue, Black, Gold and Dark Grey. The smartphone will be available on Flipkart starting tomorrow. As for the price, the 1GB RAM variant will cost Rs. 5,299 and the 2GB variant is priced at Rs. 5,999.
