Pixel 10a Leak Reveals More in Common with Pixel 9: No Telephoto Camera, No Magic Cue
Google recently unveiled the Pixel 10 series, and now all eyes are on the upcoming Pixel 10a, the successor to the Pixel 9a. The most affordable model was supposed to bring flagship-grade features from the Pixel 10 series while keeping the price accessible.
However, a new leak suggests that the Pixel 10a might have more in common with the Pixel 9 series than with the newly launched Pixel 10. Here's what the new leak suggests:

Pixel 10a Leak Suggests Tensor G4 and No Telephoto Lens
According to Mystic Leaks on Telegram, the Pixel 10a is expected to ship with the Tensor G4 chipset—the same processor found in the Pixel 9 series—rather than the latest Tensor G5 that powers the Pixel 10 lineup.
The leak also suggests that the Pixel 10a will stick with UFS 3.1 storage, while Google has already upgraded to UFS 4.0 on Pixel 10 models with 256GB and above. This could be seen as a drawback, as UFS 4.0 offers significantly faster speeds and has already become standard in most mid-range and flagship smartphones.
Another compromise could be in the camera department. While the base Pixel 10 now has a telephoto lens, the Pixel 10a is rumored to skip it; instead, it will feature the same dual rear camera setup as the Pixel 9a.
On the brighter side, the Pixel 10a may get a display upgrade, with peak brightness reportedly reaching 2,200 nits—slightly higher than the 2,000 nits offered by the Pixel 9a (Review). However, the leak also indicates the phone will miss out on Magic Cue, which is Google's on-device AI assistant designed to provide live contextual support during calls and chats.
Pixel 10a Launch and Price (Rumoured)
If the brand follows the same launch timeline as the Pixel 9a, it could arrive by the first half of 2026. Moreover, the Pixel 10a is tipped to come at around $500 (approx. Rs 44,016). Since all is speculation, we'd suggest our readers take it with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more info surrounding the Pixel 10a.
