Pixel 9 Pro Fold With Tensor G4 Chip Launched at Made by Google Event: India Price and Availability

The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold was launched on Tuesday (August 13) at the Made by Google event, held in Mountain View, California. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is a high-end model from the Pixel 9 series, bringing the best of Google's AI. It will allow users to multitask in Split Screen and enjoy big screen entertainment on the 80% brighter compared to the Pixel Fold.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold boasts with new and durable design, featuring a 6.3-inch outer display and an 8-inch Super Actua Flex inner display. It features a silky matt back with a satin metal frame and a polished hinge. Both displays support a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2,700nits peak brightness. There is the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the outer display and backside. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold also features an IPX8 rating, making it water-resistant.

The device is powered by the Tensor G4 processor paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of onboard storage. However, the Indian market will get only a 256GB variant. With Gemini, you can write stories and blogs, plan events or learn new things by just pressing and holding the power button.

One can use Gemini with Split Screen on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold to do more things at once. You'll also be able access to extra AI capabilities, with one year of the Google One AI Premium plan which includes Gemini Advanced, Gemini in Gmail and Docs, and 2 TB of Cloud Storage.

For imaging, there is a triple rear camera system, comprising a 48MP wide-angle camera with an f/1.7 aperture, a 10.5MP ultra-wide angle camera with autofocus and an f/2.2 aperture, and a 10.8MP telephoto camera with up to 5x optical zoom, 20x Super Res Zoom, and an f/3.1 aperture.

Moreover, the cover display features a 10MP camera with an f.2.2 aperture, while the inner screen also has a 10MP sensor. On the software front, the phone ships with Android 14 OS and is confirmed to receive seven years of Android OS and security, as well as Pixel Drops updates. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold also packs a 4,650 mAh battery with 45W charging and Qi wireless charging support.

Pixel 9 Pro Fold Price in India and Sale Date

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will come with a price tag of Rs 1,72,999 for the sole 16GB/256GB storage variant in India. It will be available in Obsidian and Porcelain colour options via Flipkart, Croma, and Reliance Digital retail outlets across the country.

The sale and pre-booking details are still unknown at this moment. However, the smartphone will be officially announced tomorrow (August 14) in India.
