Poco will expand its "C" series next week. The brand will introduce the Poco C55 in the Indian market. The budget Android smartphone features some interesting design choices that aren't common the in the affordable smartphone segment. Let's look at all the available details of the upcoming budget Android smartphone from Poco, which could be a rebranded Redmi device.

 

Poco C55 Will Launch On February 21:

Poco will unveil a new budget phone in the C series. The brand had started teasing the launch of the Poco C55 in India, and now, Poco India's official Twitter handle has confirmed the smartphone's official launch date, and Flipkart has corroborated the same.

 

The Poco C55 budget Android smartphone will launch on February 21, 2023, at 12 PM. Poco will live-stream the event on YouTube and the brand will offer live updates on its official social media channels.

Poco hasn't confirmed the final price of the Poco C55. However, the brand has hinted the smartphone will be priced below ₹10,000. The Poco C55 will sell on Flipkart.

Poco C55 Specifications, Features

The Poco C55 Android smartphone has previously surfaced on the internet. It appears the Poco C55 is merely a rebranded Xiaomi Redmi 12C. Strangely, the Redmi 12C will launch in India this month. The Redmi phone has already been launched in China, and Xiaomi is expected to release the smartphone in several markets outside China.

If the Poco C55 is indeed a rebranded Redmi 12C, it will feature a 6.71-inch HD+ display with a 1650 x 720 pixels resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio.

The 720p display of the Poco C55 could house a 5MP front-facing camera. The smartphone's back would feature a dual camera setup which could include a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor.

The global variant of the Poco C55 could be powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 12nm SoC and a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU. The smartphone could pack 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which could be expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card.

The rebadged Redmi 12C could pack a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support. Connectivity options on the Poco C55 could include a 3.5mm audio jack, micro-USB port, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS + GLONASS.
