POCO C71 to Launch in India on April 4: Specs Include 6.88″ Display, 32MP Camera, and 5200mAh Battery
POCO is expanding its budget lineup with the launch of the C71 in India on April 4. As a follow-up to last year’s C61, the new phone sticks to POCO’s usual approach—offering core features that meet the everyday needs of entry-level users.

A Bigger Display in the Budget Segment
One of the most noticeable things about the C71 is its 6.88-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s unusually large for a phone in the sub-₹7,000 range and comes with eye-comfort certifications like TÜV low blue light, flicker-free, and circadian-friendly display modes. There’s also support for wet-touch, which could be useful in humid conditions or light rain.
Android 15 and Promised Software Support
The C71 runs Android 15 out of the box, which is notable for a budget device. POCO has committed to two years of OS updates and four years of security patches, offering longer software relevance than what’s typical in this price range.
Solid Specs for Day-to-Day Use
Powering the phone is an unnamed octa-core processor, expected to score over 300,000 on AnTuTu. It’s paired with 6GB of physical RAM and another 6GB of virtual RAM for improved multitasking. Storage is expandable up to 2TB via microSD, offering flexibility for users with heavier storage needs.
Battery Built for Longevity
The device features a 5200mAh battery, supports 15W fast charging, and comes with a charger in the box. According to POCO, the battery is designed to maintain 80% health even after three years—a meaningful claim for users looking for durability in budget hardware.
Camera and Creative Tools
The POCO C71 includes a 32MP main camera, a secondary lens (details not yet confirmed), and an 8MP selfie camera. It also comes with seven film filters, allowing users to experiment with creative photography despite the entry-level tag.
Durable Design and Connectivity Features
Design-wise, the phone sports a split-grid rear panel with a bold camera module and is available in Power Black, Cool Blue, and Desert Gold. It comes with IP52 certification for dust and splash resistance. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
Available via Flipkart
As with most POCO phones in India, the C71 will be sold on Flipkart following its April 4 launch. While pricing hasn’t been officially confirmed, the features indicate it will target the sub-₹7,000 segment.
