POCO will unveil a new affordable 5G smartphone in India today. The POCO C85 will debut as an entry-level 5G smartphone. According to POCO, the handset will deliver the best battery experience in the segment, offering over 106 hours of music playback and over 29 hours of social media browsing.

The POCO C85 5G is launching in India at 12:00 pm (IST) today. Following the launch, the handset will go on sale in India through Flipkart. While there is no official information, we expect the POCO C85 price in India to start from under Rs 9,000, possibly Rs 8,999.

In Nigeria, the POCO C85 5G costs NGN 143,900 (roughly Rs 8,950) for the base 6GB/128GB model. The POCO C85 will come in three shades: Spring Green, Power Black, and Mystic Purple.

The POCO C85 5G will feature a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD screen, offering up to 810 nits peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen also carries TUV Low Blue Light, TUV Flicker-Free, and TUV Circadian certifications, while the company promises two major Android upgrades and four years of security updates.
Powering the POCO C85 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with up to 8GB RAM. POCO also enables up to 8GB virtual RAM expansion, using storage to boost multitasking. This combination targets smoother app switching and basic gaming performance in the entry-level 5G smartphone category in India.
The POCO C85 5G includes a 6,000mAh battery, with the company claiming more than 106 hours of music playback. It supports 33W wired fast charging and 10W wired reverse charging. The handset is listed at 7.99mm thickness and carries an IP64 rating, offering resistance against dust ingress and water splashes.
For imaging, the POCO C85 5G will use a dual rear camera setup, led by a 50-megapixel main sensor. The module sits inside a square housing and is paired with an LED flash. These confirmed features place the phone among budget 5G options focusing on large batteries and high-refresh displays.
