Poco F5 launched in India with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC, 120Hz OLED Display: Check Price, Specs, Availability

The Poco F5 has officially been unveiled in India. The Poco F5 series was just unveiled globally but the Poco F5 Pro isn't being released in India. So let's take a look at what's in store for us with the vanilla Poco F5 model.

It is worth noting that the Poco F5 5G debuts as the first Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 smartphone in India. Apart from the Snapdragon chip, the phone also boasts a high-refresh-rate OLED screen, super-fast charging, a large battery, and a 64 MP triple-camera setup.

Poco F5 Price in India

The Poco F5 5G price in India starts from Rs 29,999 for the base 8GB/256GB model. Additionally, the Poco F5 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will set you back Rs 33,999. However, Poco is offering a discount of Rs 3,000 on both models of the Poco F5 as a special introductory offer.

The Poco F5 sale in India will kick off on May 16 through Flipkart. Poco is also offering an instant discount ICICI Bank offer worth Rs 3,000 or a Rs 3,000 exchange offer. Additionally, there's an extra 1,000 off on exchange of Poco phones as well as a two-year warranty on the Poco F5.

Poco F5 Specifications

The Poco F5 is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC paired with Adreno graphics. The chip is accompanied by up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone also features Dynamic RAM Expansion 3.0 and a new and improved cooling system with Hyperboost Gaming to improve frame rate in games.

The Poco F5 sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ Flow AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The screen features a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It supports a DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+.

The vanilla Poco F5 also boasts 1,920Hz PWM dimming and is SGS Low Blue Light certified. The latest Poco phone runs Android 13 based MIUI 14 for Poco with two years of software updates and three years of security updates. It packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

Poco F5 Cameras

For optics, the Poco F5 gets a triple-camera setup on the back with a 64 MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture and 1.4μm large pixel. The main camera is paired with an 8 MP ultrawide unit and a 2 MP macro lens. The rear camera system can record 4K video up to 30fps.

On the front, there's a 16 MP selfie camera. The Poco F5 boasts dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support. The device weighs 181 grams and is 7.9mm thick. The Poco F5 comes in Carbon Black, Electric Blue, and Snowstorm White colours.
