Poco F5, Poco F5 Pro Launched with 120Hz AMOLED Displays, Snapdragon Chips, 64 MP Triple Cameras

The Poco F5 series has officially been unveiled in UAE ahead of its global launch. The Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro was set to make its global debut tomorrow, May 09. However, Poco UAE seemed to have jumped the gun, launching the Poco F5 series a day ahead of scheduled.

Both the Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro have been listed on Xiaomi's UAE website. It is worth noting that the Chinese smartphone maker hasn't revealed details about the Poco F5 series' price in the country and we might have to wait until tomorrow for those details.

Poco F5 Specifications

The Poco F5 is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC paired with the Adreno GPU. Additionally, the phone comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone also features Dynamic RAM Expansion 3.0, utilising up to 7GB of unused storage as virtual RAM. It runs Android 13-based MIUI 14 for Poco.

The Poco F5 sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ Flow AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The panel boats a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The screen also supports DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+. It also boasts 1,920Hz PWM dimming and is SGS Low Blue Light certified.

For optics, the Poco F5 gets a triple-camera setup on the back with a 64 MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture and 1.4μm large pixel. The main camera is paired with an 8 MP ultrawide unit and a 2 MP macro lens. On the front, there's a 16 MP selfie camera. The rear camera system can record 4K video up to 30fps, while the front camera is limited to 1080p recording at 60fps.

The Poco F5 packs a massive 5,000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The Poco F5 boasts dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support. The device weighs 181 grams and is 7.9mm thick. The Poco F5 comes in Black, White, and Blue colours.
