POCO F7 India Launch Timeline Tipped: Could Come With New Snapdragon 8s Elite Chip

POCO is preparing to unveil its F7 Series at a global event on March 27, featuring two new smartphones—POCO F7 Pro and POCO F7 Ultra. While both models are expected to be showcased this week, a third device—the standard POCO F7—may launch separately in India a little later.

According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the vanilla POCO F7 is expected to debut in the Indian market around May or June 2025, likely aligning with the release cycle of last year’s POCO F6, which launched in May 2024 at ₹29,999.

Although POCO has yet to confirm the F7 for India, the timeline hinted by Yadav seems plausible, especially considering the brand’s past release cadence. The device is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset, a new processor aimed at offering high-end performance without the top-tier price tag.

As of now, there are no additional details about the POCO F7’s specs, design, or pricing, but expectations point toward a device that fills the space between the Pro and Ultra models in both capability and cost.

What We Know About POCO F7 Pro and Ultra

Leaks surrounding the POCO F7 Pro and Ultra suggest a shared 6.67-inch AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, and a 3200x1440 resolution. However, the internal hardware and camera configurations are expected to set them apart.

• F7 Ultra: Likely to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite, a 50MP + 50MP + 32MP rear camera setup, and a 32MP front camera. The battery is expected to be 5,300mAh, paired with 120W wired charging.

• F7 Pro: Tipped to house the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with a more modest 50MP + 8MP rear camera, a 20MP selfie shooter, and a larger 6,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging.

Both phones are expected to ship with Android 15-based HyperOS 2 out of the box.
