POCO Flagship Smartphone To Feature Dimensity 9200 Plus Chipset: F6 Pro Is Midrange Smartphone With 24GB RAM?
There's a new POCO smartphone in the works and it packs the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus Chipset. Xiaomi's POCO sub-brand is expected to launch this new, mystery smartphone in the next few months.
POCO launched the POCO F5 and the POCO F5 Pro with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets, of which, only the base variant is available in India. The next POCO smartphone has been confirmed to have the flagship-grade Dimensity 9200+ SoC and could be a rebranded Xiaomi or Redmi smartphone.

POCO Smartphone To Feature MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus SoC, And 24GB RAM?
At the POCO Partners SEA Forum in Bangkok, Thailand, officials from Xiaomi's sub-brand confirmed the next flagship smartphone from the brand will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset.
None of the officials revealed the name of the upcoming smartphone with the flagship Dimensity SoC. However, POCO launched the POCO F5 Pro with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC in December last year.
Hence, the upcoming POCO Android smartphone with Dimensity 9200+ SoC would be the POCO F6 Pro. There could be another smartphone in the POCO F6 series, and it could feature the Dimensity 8200 chipset.
Incidentally, the POCO F5 Pro is essentially a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Redmi K60, which is yet to launch in India. Moreover, even the recently launched Redmi 60 Ultra hasn't arrived in India but is expected to launch as the Xiaomi 13T Pro.
Is The Mystery POCO F6 Pro A Rebranded Xiaomi Redmi Smartphone?
The POCO smartphones have usually launched a little later than the Redmi smartphones. Moreover, the majority of smartphones from this brand are essentially rebranded Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones from the midrange category.
Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi K60 Ultra. This flagship smartphone features the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus SoC. Needless to mention, this is the same chipset that has been confirmed to be embedded inside the upcoming POCO smartphone.
Simply put, the mystery POCO smartphone, which could be branded as the POCO F6 Pro, could essentially be a rebranded version of the Xiaomi K60 Ultra.
Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO brands are all active in India. Each brand has multiple smartphones with similar specifications and varying prices. While the POCO brand usually sits at the bottom, the Redmi brand has devices in the affordable, budget, and midrange categories. The Xiaomi brand is mostly present in the midrange and premium categories.
Hence, it is quite likely the Redmi K60 Ultra might launch as the Xiaomi 13T Pro and it would be positioned in the premium category. The POCO F6 Pro, on the other hand, would be positioned in the midrange category.
Incidentally, the top-end model of the Redmi K60 Ultra packs 24GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. It supports 120W PD3.0 wired fast wired charging.
Since POCO smartphones are positioned in the midrange, the POCO F69 Pro might lack these features, and the brand might offer 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variants only, with support for slightly slower charging speeds.
