Poco M6 5G Launch in India set for December 22: Could Debut in India’s Sub-10K Market

Poco has officially confirmed the launch of a new smartphone in its M series in India. Through an official post on X (formerly known as Twitter), the brand confirmed that the Poco M6 5G will hit Indian markets this week.

The Poco M6 5G follows the recent launch of the Poco C65 in India. Poco's upcoming budget 5G smartphone will sit just under the Poco M6 Pro 5G.

The Poco M6 5G launch date in India is set for December 22 at 12 noon (IST). In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Poco is going with the tagline "the Realme 5G disrupter". This suggests that the Poco M6 5G will be price highly competitive despite its 5G support.

India's budget 5G smartphone space has gotten a lot more competitive in 2023, with stiff competition from brands Realme, Redmi, Lava, and itel among others. And the addition of the Poco M6 5G will only up the ante in the market.

Poco M6 5G Specifications (Expected)

The Poco M6 5G could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The Poco M6 5G will run Android 13 out of the box with MIUI 14 on top. The phone is expected to pack a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

The Poco M6 5G could also sport a 6.74-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. The brand has also confirmed that the Poco M6 5G will opt for a 50 MP AI dual-camera setup on the back. Up front, the handset is expected to feature an 8 MP selfie camera.

The Poco M6 5G will also be offered in a gradient purple and black color option. Poco is calling it the "Premium Sky Dance Design". The purple variant does feature an eye-catching finish.
