Poco M7 5G Reportedly Launching on March 3, Expected to Be Priced Under ₹10,000

Poco is preparing to expand its budget smartphone lineup in India with the Poco M7 5G, expected to launch on March 3, 2025, according to an exclusive report from Digit.

Targeting the sub-₹10,000 segment, the M7 5G is positioned to shake up the market with a 4nm Qualcomm chipset, 5G connectivity, and Turbo RAM expansion-all at a price point that could make it one of the most accessible 5G smartphones in India.

Poco M7 5G May Launch on March 3, Could Be Priced Under ₹10,000

A 4nm Chip for Better Efficiency

Under the hood, the Poco M7 5G is expected to run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, an entry-level 5G chipset built to deliver efficient performance while keeping power consumption low. It features two high-performance Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, a configuration designed to handle multitasking smoothly without excessive battery drain.

The chipset is expected to be paired with up to 6GB of RAM, with Turbo RAM expansion allowing the system to allocate extra virtual memory when needed. This should enhance overall performance, particularly for users who frequently switch between apps or engage in gaming.

Google Play Console Leak Confirms Display and OS Details

The Poco M7 5G appeared in a Google Play Console listing before, which confirmed several key specifications. The phone is expected to feature a 1640 x 720-pixel display, similar to the Poco M6, meaning users can expect a standard HD+ resolution rather than a higher-end Full HD panel.

The M7 5G is also reported to launch with Android 14, despite Android 15 being available for several months. This raises questions about long-term software support, as buyers may wonder how many major updates the device will receive. The M7 Pro 5G was promised two OS updates, so Poco could offer a similar update policy for the M7 5G-but that remains unconfirmed.

Slimmer Bezels and a Refreshed Design

Digit has shown a teaser image of the M7 5G, and has reported a significant reduction in bezels compared to its predecessor, the Poco M6. The device retains a punch-hole display for the front-facing camera, following the trend seen in higher-end devices.

On the back, the device sports a circular camera module, which is likely to house a dual-camera setup. While Poco has yet to confirm camera specifications, the brand has consistently prioritized camera performance in its budget lineup.

What to Expect From Connectivity and Battery Life

One of the biggest highlights of the Poco M7 5G is dual 5G SIM support, allowing users to take advantage of next-generation network speeds. Reports also suggest the inclusion of Wi-Fi 7, ensuring faster and more stable connectivity for streaming, gaming, and work.

Battery life could be another strong point. While Poco has not revealed specific details, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 is designed for efficiency, which suggests that the M7 5G could deliver a full day or more of battery backup on a single charge.

Will It Stay Under ₹10,000?

Pricing remains unknown, but Poco's aggressive pricing strategy in the budget segment suggests that the M7 5G is expected to launch under ₹10,000.
