POCO M8 Power India Launch Date Confirmed: Flipkart Listing Reveals Whopping 3-Day Battery Life

POCO has confirmed the official India launch of its next budget-friendly smartphone, the POCO M8 Power. The upcoming handset will make its debut on August 4 at 12:00 PM IST. This new device is confirmed to be available for purchase exclusively through Flipkart.

The POCO M8 Power serves as a more premium sibling to the standard POCO M8. The budget-oriented base model originally entered the Indian market in January this year. With this new Power variant, POCO targets power users who prioritize continuous daily usage.

POCO M8 Power Specifications: What to Expect

POCO has started teasing the POCO M8 Power ahead of its India launch through a dedicated Flipkart microsite. While the company is yet to reveal the complete specifications, the teaser confirms that battery life will be the smartphone's biggest selling point, with POCO claiming up to three days of usage on a single charge.

Leaks suggest the POCO M8 Power could pack a massive 8,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging, making it one of the largest batteries in its price segment. The handset is also expected to support efficient power management through HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

Apart from battery life, the POCO M8 Power is tipped to feature a 6.9-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness, offering smoother visuals and improved outdoor visibility.

Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, built on a 4nm process, paired with an Adreno 710 GPU. It could be offered with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, targeting users looking for reliable everyday performance.

For photography, the POCO M8 Power is rumoured to feature a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup, while selfies and video calls could be handled by an 8-megapixel front camera with a screen flash.

Other expected features include an IP65-rated dust and splash-resistant design, IR blaster, USB Type-C port, dual SIM 5G support, and a mono speaker. POCO is also tipped to offer four Android OS updates and six years of security patches, a significant software commitment for a budget smartphone.
