POCO M8 Power Launched in India with Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, 120Hz AMOLED Display, 8000mAh Battery

POCO has expanded its M-series smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the POCO M8 Power. The new mid-range smartphone is aimed at users looking for exceptional battery life, offering a massive 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, a 120Hz AMOLED display, and Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset.

The handset also debuts with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and promises long-term software support with four Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

POCO M8 Power Price in India, Offers

The POCO M8 Power is available in two storage configurations:

• 6GB RAM + 128GB storage - Rs. 24,999
• 8GB RAM + 128GB storage - Rs. 27,999

As part of the launch offers, buyers can avail of a Rs. 1,000 discount coupon along with an instant bank discount of Rs. 2,000 on SBI, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank credit cards.

The smartphone is offered in Blaze Orange, Green, and Black colour options. POCO is expected to announce the official sale date in the coming days. The smartphone will go on sale via Flipkart starting August 7 as part of the Flipkart Freedom Sale.

POCO M8 Power Specifications, Features

The biggest highlight of the POCO M8 Power is its 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which the company claims can deliver up to three days of battery life on a single charge. It supports 45W wired fast charging, with the compatible charger included in the box. POCO also claims the handset can deliver up to eight hours of usage with just eight minutes of charging.

The smartphone also supports 22.5W reverse wired charging, allowing users to charge compatible accessories and other smartphones using the device as a power bank.Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor built on a 4nm process. It is paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, delivering smooth everyday performance while supporting 5G connectivity and dual-band Wi-Fi.

On the front, the POCO M8 Power features a 6.83-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness. The panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and supports Wet Touch 2.0, making the screen more responsive even with wet fingers. It also houses an optical in-display fingerprint scanner and includes eye-care certifications to reduce blue light during prolonged usage.

The POCO M8 Power runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out of the box. POCO has committed to providing four generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates, making it one of the best-supported smartphones in its segment.

For photography, the smartphone features a 50-megapixel AI-powered primary rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, accompanied by a secondary sensor. On the front, it houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera for selfies and video calls. Despite packing a large battery, the handset measures 8.4mm in thickness and weighs 225g, making it relatively slim for its battery capacity.
