Poco M8x 5G Launched in India with Snapdragon 4 Gen 5, 120Hz Display, 7900mAh Battery, 50MP Main Camera

Poco has expanded its M8 series in India with the launch of the new Poco M8x 5G. The smartphone joins the Poco M8 5G and Poco M8 Power in the company's mid-range lineup. It comes with a large 120Hz display, a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, a massive battery and a dual rear camera setup. The handset will be sold through Flipkart in three colour options, including a Leather Green variant.

Poco M8x 5G Price in India and Availability

The Poco M8x 5G price starts at Rs. 20,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs Rs. 22,999.

Poco is offering a Rs. 2,000 bank discount to customers. The smartphone will go on sale from August 27 at 12 PM IST via Flipkart. It is available in Black, Blue and Leather Green colour options, with the latter featuring a vegan leather finish.

Poco M8x 5G Specifications and Features

The dual-SIM Poco M8x 5G runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. Poco promises four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

The phone sports a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 720 x 1,600-pixel resolution. It gets Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, Wet Touch 2.0 and TUV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, flicker-free viewing and circadian-friendly operation. The handset also carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, built on a 4nm process. It comes with up to 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Poco claims the phone can score over 6,50,000 points on AnTuTu and launch apps 43 percent faster.

For photography, the Poco M8x 5G features a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with 2x digital zoom, paired with a 2-megapixel macro sensor. An 8-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls, while video recording is supported up to 1080p.

The biggest highlight is its 7,900mAh battery, paired with 45W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging. Poco claims up to 35 hours of social media use and 27 days of messaging on a single charge. For thermal management, the phone uses a triple cooling system comprising graphite, copper foil and thermal gel.
