Poco is preparing to launch its next-generation Poco X8 series in India next week. The lineup is expected to include the standard Poco X8 and a higher-end Poco X8 Power, with both smartphones tipped to focus on display quality, performance, battery life and durability.

Ahead of the official announcement, leaked details have revealed several specifications of the upcoming smartphones. Both models are expected to feature large OLED displays, while the X8 Power could offer a significantly larger battery and faster charging compared with the standard model.

Poco has not officially confirmed the launch date, specifications or other details of the upcoming X8 series yet.

Poco X8 Series Launch Date and Price in India

According to the latest leak, the Poco X8 price in India could fall between ₹28,000 and ₹30,000. Meanwhile, the Poco X8 Power price in India is tipped to be around ₹35,000.

The reported pricing would put the standard Poco X8 in the competitive ₹30,000 segment, while the X8 Power could target buyers looking for a more powerful configuration and a larger battery.

The leaked prices are unofficial and should be taken with a pinch of salt until Poco makes an official announcement. The Poco X8 series launch date in India is set for September 4 at 12 pm IST. Following the launch, the Poco X8 series will go on sale in India through Flipkart.

Poco X8 Specifications

The Poco X8 is expected to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K LTPS OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The high-refresh-rate panel should offer smoother scrolling and animations.

Under the hood, the smartphone could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

For photography, the Poco X8 is tipped to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera with a JNS sensor measuring 1/2.76-inch. The main camera could be paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. On the front, the smartphone is expected to feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Battery life could be another major highlight, with the Poco X8 reportedly packing a massive 9,000mAh battery. The device is also expected to support 67W fast charging.

Poco X8 Power Specifications

The Poco X8 Power is expected to offer upgraded hardware compared with the standard model. The smartphone could be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, combined with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

For cameras, the X8 Power is tipped to feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor measuring 1/1.95-inch. It could be accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The front camera could also receive an upgrade, with the Poco X8 Power reportedly featuring a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The biggest upgrade is expected to come in the battery department. The smartphone could pack a 10,000mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging, potentially making it one of the more battery-focused phones in its segment.

Both the Poco X8 and X8 Power are also tipped to feature IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The smartphones could reportedly receive four major OS updates and six years of security updates.
