POCO X8 Series Goes on Sale in India Today: Price Starts at ₹29,999

The POCO X8 series is now available to buy in India. The lineup consists of the POCO X8 and the more powerful POCO X8 Power, with both smartphones going on sale from September 11 at 12 noon exclusively through Flipkart.

While the two phones share a few headline features, including large 1.5K AMOLED displays and unusually big silicon-carbon batteries, the X8 Power gets the faster chipset, quicker charging, and a more versatile camera setup.

POCO X8 and X8 Power Price in India

The POCO X8 carries a regular price of ₹29,999, while the POCO X8 Power is priced at ₹35,999.

However, POCO is offering a ₹2,000 coupon discount along with a ₹1,000 bank offer or exchange bonus during the launch period. That brings the effective prices down to ₹26,999 for the POCO X8 and ₹32,999 for the POCO X8 Power.

Buyers can also opt for 12-month no-cost EMI, starting at ₹2,250 per month for the X8 and ₹2,750 per month for the X8 Power.

POCO X8 Series Specifications

The standard POCO X8 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, a 4nm chipset with CPU clock speeds of up to 2.4GHz. The X8 Power, meanwhile, marks the India debut of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, which runs at up to 2.6GHz and is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Both phones are available with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Both models feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 12-bit colour depth, and a claimed peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits. The X8 Power additionally supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

Battery capacity is arguably the biggest attraction here. The POCO X8 packs a massive 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 67W fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging.

The X8 Power pushes things even further with a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, 100W fast charging, and 27W reverse charging. POCO is also bundling the respective 67W and 100W chargers in the box.

Cameras, Durability and Software

For photography, the POCO X8 gets a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 16MP selfie camera.

The X8 Power upgrades the main camera with a wider f/1.5 aperture and pairs it with an 8MP ultrawide camera. It also gets a 32MP front camera, while both the front and rear cameras can record 4K video at 30fps.

Durability is another area POCO is highlighting. Both phones use Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.

The POCO X8 series ships with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. POCO is promising four years of Android updates alongside six years of security patches.
