POCO X8, X8 Power Launched in India With Up to 10,000mAh Battery, 100W Charging
POCO has expanded its X-series lineup in India with the launch of the POCO X8 and POCO X8 Power. The two phones share a fairly similar foundation, including large 1.5K AMOLED displays, silicon-carbon batteries, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and extensive water and dust resistance. But the X8 Power, as the name suggests, turns things up with a larger battery, faster charging, a more powerful chipset, and a more versatile camera setup.
The POCO X8 starts at ₹29,999, while the POCO X8 Power is priced at ₹35,999. Both phones will go on sale in India starting September 11 at 12 noon via Flipkart.

POCO X8, POCO X8 Power Specifications
The POCO X8 and X8 Power feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772 x 1280 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The panel supports 12-bit colours, the DCI-P3 colour gamut, and can reach up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness.
The X8 Power additionally supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Both phones feature stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support, although POCO claims a maximum volume boost of 300 percent on the X8 and 400 percent on the X8 Power.
Under the hood, the standard POCO X8 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. The 4nm SoC offers CPU clock speeds of up to 2.4GHz and is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The POCO X8 Power, meanwhile, is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, marking the chipset's debut in India. It offers CPU speeds of up to 2.6GHz and is paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

For photography, the POCO X8 features a 50MP primary camera with OIS and an f/1.8 aperture, accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. The phone also gets a 16MP selfie camera. The X8 Power gets a slightly more versatile setup consisting of a 50MP OIS main camera with an f/1.5 aperture and an 8MP ultrawide camera. There is a 32MP camera on the front, while both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording at 30fps.
Battery capacity is one of the biggest highlights of the new lineup. The POCO X8 packs a 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 67W wired fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. POCO is also including a 67W charger in the box.
The POCO X8 Power pushes that figure to a massive 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery and supports 100W wired charging along with 27W reverse charging. A 100W charger is bundled with the device. Both smartphones feature Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. They have also received five-star quality certification from SGS and TÜV.
On the software front, the POCO X8 series runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out of the box. POCO has promised four years of Android OS updates and six years of security updates for both phones.
POCO X8, X8 Power Price in India and Availability
The POCO X8 is priced at ₹29,999, while the POCO X8 Power costs ₹35,999 in India. As part of the launch offers, buyers can get a ₹2,000 coupon discount along with an additional ₹1,000 bank offer or exchange bonus. This brings the effective prices down to ₹26,999 for the POCO X8 and ₹32,999 for the POCO X8 Power.
Both the phones will go on sale starting September 11 at 12 noon exclusively via Flipkart. POCO is also offering 12-month no-cost EMI options starting at ₹2,250 per month for the X8 and ₹2,750 per month for the X8 Power.
