Pova 8 Pro Launching in India at 12 pm Today via Flipkart: Check Full Specifications and Expected Price

Tecno is gearing up to launch the Pova 8 Pro 5G in India later today. The launch follows the debut of the vanilla Pova 8 5G in India back in June. To recall, Tecno has already revealed the full specifications of the Pova 8 Pro 5G without providing details about its pricing.

MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset, a dedicated P1 gaming chip, a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, a large battery, distinctive rear design, advanced cameras, and extensive durability, the Pova 8 Pro could be a major player in India's sub-40K segment.

Pova 8 Pro India Launch

The Pova 8 Pro 5G is arriving in India at 12 pm (IST) today. Following its launch, the handset will be available for purchase in India through Flipkart.

Given its specifications and current industry trends, we expect the Pova 8 Pro price in India to start from under Rs. 40,000. The smartphone is expected to arrive in Arc White, Graphite Black, and Tundra Green colours.

Pova 8 Pro Specifications & Features

The Pova 8 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage. It also features a dedicated P1 Graphic Chip for enhanced gaming performance, enabling frame interpolation of up to 144FPS.

Tecno claims the phone can maintain 144FPS in shooting and battle arena games, while role-playing titles can run at a stable 90FPS. The gaming experience is further enhanced by 4D Game Vibration and Dolby Atmos-tuned dual stereo speakers, while users also get 256GB of free cloud storage for three years.

The smartphone packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging, 10W reverse wired charging and smart bypass charging. On the front, it sports a 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness and 2,800Hz instant touch sampling. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects the display.

The rear panel gets an Interstellar Spaceship Design, featuring a customisable Alive Matrix Display integrated into the triangular camera island. For photography, the handset features a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 700C primary camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.

Thermal management is handled by a 5,000-square-millimetre vapor chamber, while IP66, IP68 and IP69/69K ratings provide extensive dust and water resistance. The phone runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16 and includes Tecno AI features and the Ella smart assistant.
