Tecno is set to launch a new mid-range smartphone in India today. The upcoming POVA 8 replaces the wrap-around LED light over the camera island with a matrix-style dotted lighting element on one of the camera modules.

The POVA 8 is launching in India at 02 pm (IST) today. Following its launch, the POVA 8 will go on sale in India through Flipkart. While pricing details are yet to be announced, we expect the POVA 8 price in India to start from anywhere between Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000.

The POVA 8 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 SoC. It will be paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The handset is also expected to pack an 8,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support. Additionally, the POVA 8 could also sport an FHD+ LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate.

For optics, the handset is expected to feature a 50MP primary camera and an unusable secondary lens. Up front, the phone could opt for a 13MP selfie camera. The POVA 8 also features an IP64 rating for resistance to dust and splashes of water. The design is another stand out aspect of the POVA 8.
