While Huawei is working on some mid-range smartphones, Huawei Mate 10 is the most anticipated device from the company. So far we have heard a lot about its specs and features. Some reports are even predicting the price of the handset.

Press invite suggests October 16 launch for Huawei Mate 10

Now thanks to the publication named techprolonged, we have come to know the launch date of Huawei Mate 10. The publication has shared what seems to be the official press invite for the launch of the smartphone. As is often the case, the press invite doesn't specify the name of the device. The text on it reads "Meet the device worth waiting for". However, there is a large number 10 in the background.

So we assume it to be the press invite for the Huawei Mate 10. The press invite further reveals that the flagship will get unveiled on October 16 in Munich, Germany.

If you are skeptical about the authenticity of the press invite, the website claims to have obtained it via "official means". So it is up to you whether you want to believe it or not. We would suggest you take this information with a pinch of salt until we get a confirmation from Huawei itself.

To remind you, a few days ago a Polish website called Tabletowo had also suggested the Huawei Mate 10 will be launched on October 16 at an event that is to take place in Munich.

Going by the speculations, the Huawei Mate 10 will flaunt a bezel-less, full-screen display. The display will be a 5.8-inch 2K one with the aspect ratio higher than that of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Some reports also suggest that the fingerprint scanner will be placed below the display.

On the optics front, the successor of last year's Huawei 9 is rumored to arrive with four cameras. The vertically aligned rear dual camera setup will be comprised of two 34MP sensors and will be accompanied by a LED flashlight. While the front-facing dual camera is said to have two 16MP sensors.

Additionally, the smartphone is expected to be powered by the Kirin 970 processor and it will probably run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat right out of the box. That being said, the Huawei Mate 10 could also ship with Android 8.0 O on board with Huawei's latest EMUI skin on top.
