As the anticipation builds for the Realme 12+ 5G launch on March 6 in India, Realme has added to the excitement by announcing the simultaneous launch of the Realme 12 5G at the upcoming event.

Realme 12 and Realme 12+ Features Outlined

Realme has disclosed that the Realme 12 5G will boast a noteworthy 108MP camera setup, aligning with the growing trend of high-resolution smartphone photography. The device will share a flat edge design with its counterpart, the Realme 12+ 5G, and will be available in an elegant white color variant.

Realme also officially revealed earlier that the Realme 12+ 5G is set to feature the robust Dimensity 7050 SoC, accompanied by a 20Hz AMOLED screen equipped with Rainwater Smart Touch technology, a first in this segment.

The display design includes a centrally positioned punch-hole, housing the selfie camera, and beneath it, a fingerprint scanner for secure biometric authentication. As confirmed by Realme through teasers, the smartphone will incorporate USB-C connectivity, while opting to forego the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Realme 12 5G and Realme 12+ 5G will be available for pre-order on Flipkart starting today, February 29, at 2:00 PM.

Affordable Option in the Realme 12 Series

Positioned as the most budget-friendly choice in the Realme 12 series, the Realme 12 5G carries the model number RMX3999, recently surfacing on Malaysia's SIRIM certification platform (spotted by 91Mobiles).

The Geekbench benchmark database reveals the device's specifications, including a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor and 8GB of RAM. While the listing indicates Android 14, users can expect the Realme UI 5.0 skin overlay.

Battery and Pricing Insights

The Realme 12 5G, having secured FCC approval, hints at a robust 4880mAh battery, potentially marketed as 5000mAh by the company.

As a bonus insight, Realme dropped a pricing hint for the Realme 12+ 5G in India, claiming it will be the first smartphone under the Rs 20,000 segment to feature a Sony sensor and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
