Realme 12 Series Availability Confirmed via Flipkart: Periscope Camera Teased

Realme is gearing up to unveil its next 'number' series smartphones in India soon. The Realme 12 series has officially been teased on Flipkart and the company's official website.

Realme is also hosting a preview event for the media in Las Vegas on January 10 to reveal details about the Realme 12 series launch. In India, the Realme 12 series will be available for purchase via Flipkart after its launch.

Realme 12 Pro Plus: What we know so far

One of the biggest highlights of the upcoming line-up is the Realme 12 Pro Plus and its new periscope camera. Realme has also been dropping image samples taken with this camera. The company's tag line reads, "Beyond 200 MP, Periscope Awaits".

This will also mark the first periscope lens on a Realme 'Number' series smartphone. To recall, the Realme 6 Pro is currently the only phone in the 'Number' series to incorporate a telephoto lens and the upcoming Realme 12 Pro+ will mark another milestone in the series.

A recent leak also suggests that the Realme 12 Pro Plus will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC or Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip. This suggests a solid bump up from the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chip on the Realme 11 Pro Plus.

Additionally, the Realme 12 Pro could use a Snapdragon 6 Gen 2 chipset. The Realme 12 Pro series is also expected to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Previous reports have hinted to a 64 MP periscope camera on the Realme 12 Pro+ and a 32 MP telephoto shooter on the Realme 12 Pro.
