Realme 12x 5G Launch Date in India set for April 2: Key Specifications, Design Revealed

Realme is gearing up to unveil a new smartphone in its 12 series in India. The Realme 12x 5G has been teased as the "entry-level 5G killer" from the brand, suggesting it will be the most affordable 5G smartphone in the company's 12 series.

The upcoming Realme 12x 5G follows the recent debut of the Realme 12 5G and Realme 12+ 5G. The company has also revealed several key details about the Realme 12x 5G ahead of its launch.

Realme 12x 5G India Launch

The Realme 12x 5G launch date in India is set for April 2 at 12 noon (IST). Additionally, a microsite for the Realme 12x 5G has already gone live on Flipkart, confirming its availability on the platform after its launch.

To recall, the Realme 12x 5G was unveiled in China last week with a starting price of Rs CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs. 16,000). Since it has already been unveiled in China, the specifications of the Realme 12x 5G are already well-known.

Realme 12x 5G Specifications

The Realme 12x 5G will be powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC with advanced VC cooling technology. The upcoming Realme 12x 5G will also sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen with a peak brightness of 625 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Realme 12x 5G will feature a dual-camera setup on the back with a 50 MP primary sensor. Up front, the handset will opt for an 8 MP selfie camera. The Realme 12x 5G will also comes with a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support as opposed to 15W on the Chinese variant.

Connectivity options on the Realme 12x 5G include 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and more. The phone also comes with an IP54 rating for resistance to splashes and dust and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The Realme 12x 5G is also expected to run Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0.
