Realme 12x 5G with MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC, 120Hz Display Launched in India: Price, Specs, Offers

Realme has unveiled a new smartphone in India's affordable 5G smartphone segment. The phone in question is the Realme 12x 5G and debuts in India's sub-12K segment, where it faces competition from the Redmi 13C 5G, Samsung Galaxy F15 5G, and Moto G34 5G.

The Realme 12x 5G offers significant upgrades over its predecessor, arriving with a MediaTek chipset with VC cooling, a 120Hz display, large battery with the fastest charging support in the segment, and some cool features.

Realme 12x 5G Specifications

The Realme 12x 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC paired with a VC cooling system, the first in the segment. The chip is also paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of storage, up to 8GB of which can be used as Dynamic RAM.

The Realme 12x 5G sports a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a peak brightness of 950 nits. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support. For optics, the Realme 12x 5G features a 50 MP primary rear camera sensor and a 2 MP 'Black & White' sensor.

Up front, the Realme 12x 5G opts for an 8 MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The phone also packs dual stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio certification. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and more. The Realme 12x 5G also boasts an IP54 rating for resistance to splashes of water and dust.

Moreover, the phone also supports Rainwater Smart Touch, Air Gestures, and will incorporate a side-mounted fingerprint reader that doubles as a Dynamic Button, which can be assigned various functions. The Realme 12x 5G is also touted to be the slimmest smartphone in the segment, measuring 7.69mm thick.

The Realme 12x 5G price in India starts from Rs 11,999 for the base 4GB/128GB model. Moreover, the handset is also offered in a 6GB/128GB and an 8GB/128GB variant that costs Rs 13,499 and Rs 14,999, respectively. The Realme 12x 5G comes in Twilight Purple and Woodland Green color options.

The Realme 12x 5G 'Early Bird' sale in India will take place later today between 06:00 pm to 08:00 pm via Flipkart and Realme.com. Customers with ICICI Bank, SBI, and HDFC Bank cards can get an instant discount of Rs 1,000 on the Realme 12x 5G. Moreover, the company is offering a discount of Rs 1,500 on the 6GB/128GB model of the Realme 12x 5G.
