Realme 16 5G Launched In India: 7,000mAh Battery and a Built-In Selfie Mirror: Check Price, Specs
Realme has introduced the Realme 16 5G in India, bringing in a mix of battery-focused hardware and a few small design tweaks that stand out. It’s now available for preorder, with the first sale set for April 5 via Flipkart and Realme’s website.
The phone comes in Air Black and Air White, and is offered in three variants. The base 8GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs. 31,999, while the 8GB + 256GB option costs Rs. 33,999. The top-end 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs. 36,999.

At launch, buyers can choose between no-cost EMI for up to 12 months, a Rs. 2,000 bank discount, or a Rs. 6,000 exchange bonus.
Display And Performance
The Realme 16 5G features a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also pushes brightness up to 4,200 nits, which should help with outdoor visibility. There’s support for a 3,000Hz instant touch sampling rate as well.
It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Realme has added a vapour chamber cooling system here, which is meant to help with sustained performance during longer sessions.
Camera And That Mirror Detail
On the back, you get a 50-megapixel primary camera along with a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. The more interesting part is a small mirror placed next to the rear camera.
Realme calls it a “selfie mirror,” and the idea is simple. You can use it to frame yourself and take selfies using the main camera instead of switching to the front one. There’s still a 50-megapixel front camera if you prefer the usual approach.
Battery, Software, And Extras
The phone packs a 7,000mAh battery with support for 60W wired charging and reverse charging. Realme says the battery is rated for up to 1,600 charging cycles.
On the software side, it runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0. The company has confirmed three Android updates and four years of security updates.
Other features include an IP69 rating, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
