The Realme 16 5G is set to make its debut in India later today. The Realme 16 5G will debut as the third phone in the series, following the release of the Realme 16 Pro and 16 Pro+ earlier this year. Realme has already confirmed key specifications of the upcoming Realme 16 5G ahead of its launch. While Realme hasn't revealed pricing of the device just yet, new information has emerged about its price.

Realme 16 5G Price in India: What to Expect

According to a recent post on X, the Realme 16 5G price in India will start from Rs 31,999 for the base 8GB/128GB model. Additionally, the leak also suggests that top-end variant, presumably with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, will cost Rs 36,999.

The Realme 16 5G launch date in India is set for April 2 at 12 pm (IST). Following its launch, the Realme 16 5G will go on sale in India through Flipkart and realme.com. The handset will be offered in Air Black and Air White shades.

Realme 16 5G Specifications

A major focus for the Realme 16 5G is battery life. The phone houses a 7,000mAh silicon carbon battery paired with 60W wired fast charging. Realme is also promising six-year fluency protection for this 7,000mAh unit, aimed at long-term consistent performance.

While Realme has not officially named the chipset for the Indian model, the international version uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 SoC. To manage heat, Realme has confirmed a 6,050mm2 "Airflow" VC cooling area. The phone will ship with Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0, with three OS updates and four years of security patches promised.

On the rear, the Realme 16 5G carries a 50MP primary Sony sensor with OIS, paired with a secondary lens that Realme has not yet detailed. The rear module is placed in what Realme describes as the "industry's first camera bar with a selfie mirror". A 50MP front camera will handle selfies and video calls.

The Realme 16 5G will feature a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. It offers a peak brightness of 4,200 nits, 2,160Hz PWM dimming, and a 3,000Hz instantaneous sampling rate. Stereo speakers with a claimed 300% volume boost will aim to enhance media and gaming use. Realme has confirmed an IP69 rating on the Realme 16 5G for water and dust resistance. The handset measures 8.1mm in thickness and weighs 183 grams.
