Realme has officially confirmed the launch of new smartphones in the company's renowned 'Number' series. While no official launch date was provided, previous leaks suggest the Realme 16 Pro series will debut in India and globally on January 6, 2026. The Realme 16 Pro series is expected to strengthen the brand's foothold in the premium mid-range segment.

In its official release, Realme noted, "With a refined and elevated design language, the upcoming Realme 16 Pro Series embodies premium craftsmanship and durability, reflecting the brand's commitment to delivering elevated real-world value over vanity specifications."

Realme 16 Pro+ Periscope Camera Tipped

While no information about the Realme 16 Pro series was revealed, a recent leak gave us a first look at the retail box for the 16 Pro+. The image suggests that this will be the top model in the range and hints at a key camera upgrade.

According to the leak, the Realme 16 Pro+ is set to feature a periscope telephoto camera on the back. This type of camera is often linked with better zoom performance, which may appeal to users who were unhappy with earlier models.

The periscope telephoto shooter previously appeared on the Realme 14 Pro+, but skipped the Realme 15 Pro, as there was no Realme 15 Pro+ model. With the hardware now reportedly returning on the Realme 16 Pro+, many observers expect the new phone to cost more than the Realme 15 Pro.

Realme 16 Pro Series Specifications

The Realme 16 Pro may feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone is expected to run a 2.5GHz processor and ship with Android 16-based Realme UI 7, signaling a focus on smooth performance and up-to-date software.

The Realme 16 Pro+ is said to carry the model number RMX5131 and might come in Camellia Pink, Master Gold, and Master Grey colours.
