Realme Partners with Aston Martin F1 Team for 3-Year Collaboration, Teases GT 7 Dream Edition

In a move that blends speed, design, and long-term ambition, smartphone maker realme has officially announced a three-year licensing partnership with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team. The collaboration kicks off with a new co-branded smartphone—the realme GT 7 Dream Edition—set to debut at a global launch event on May 27 in Paris.

Rather than a one-off product, this partnership is structured to deliver two co-branded devices per year, signaling a deeper integration between the two brands over time.

A Phone Inspired by Racing Precision

The GT 7 Dream Edition isn’t just a paint job or logo placement. According to the details shared by both companies, the phone will feature Aston Martin’s iconic two-wing design motif and come in a custom Aston Martin Green finish. It’s a deliberate attempt to infuse the brand’s high-performance aesthetic into a product that will sit at the top of realme’s GT series.

While technical specifications haven’t been officially disclosed yet, the GT 7 Dream Edition is expected to maintain the performance DNA of the GT lineup, which has traditionally focused on flagship-grade hardware at competitive prices.

Not Just a Branding Exercise

What makes this collaboration stand out is its scope. Most phone-auto partnerships last for a single device or limited-edition release. Realme and Aston Martin are going a different route by committing to co-developing two smartphones annually over three years. That kind of continuity suggests a longer-term product and design strategy, not just a marketing gimmick.

Sky Li, realme’s CEO, described the partnership as part of the brand’s push to create standout designs and refined craftsmanship. “Only our most perfect products get the 'scarab wings’ and take flight,” he said, referring to internal terminology for its premium product line.

Matt Chapman, who heads Licensing and Merchandise for Aston Martin Aramco, emphasized the significance of the collaboration by calling the GT 7 Dream Edition their first-ever co-branded phone. The goal, he said, is to combine high-performance thinking with innovative product design.

What to Expect Going Forward

With the GT 7 series launch event just days away, realme is expected to reveal more details about both the Dream Edition and its wider flagship roadmap.

If the collaboration stays true to its pitch, we may see deeper integration beyond design—possibly custom software themes, exclusive features, or new materials inspired by F1 engineering.
